Nova Scotia distilleries are consistently raising their collective game to new levels. No longer novelties in the Canadian spirits landscape; they’re carving out a well-defined niche in the spirit and liqueur world. Rhubarb gin, chili pepper vodka—there’s no limit to the growing local innovation.

A number of these distillers are driven by a commitment to producing authentic, locally distilled spirits, many of which make a tireless commitment to use as many Nova Scotia-sourced ingredients as possible. Not only are they winning over local customers, our distilleries are also receiving recognition by national and international critics.

The Craft Distillers Association of Nova Scotia

The Craft Distillers Association of Nova Scotia (CDANS) is a non-profit organization founded in 2016, dedicated to promoting and advocating on behalf of the small, independent distillers within the province.
