NSLC Teams Up with Coors Light to encourage Haligonians to not drive impaired with Free Transit Rides

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, December 5, 2024 – The NSLC, in partnership with Coors Light, is proud to sponsor free rides with Halifax Transit as they ask all Nova Scotians to make getting home safely part of their plans throughout the holiday season and always.

Every Saturday in December, starting this weekend, December 7 at 6:00 pm, Haligonians can count on Halifax Transit to get them home safely for free. This includes all Halifax Transit services (bus, Access-A-Bus, and ferry) for all passengers starting from 6 p.m. to the end of service.

This is the third year the NSLC has offered free rides with Halifax Transit in advance of the holidays. Last year, more than 39,000 passengers participated. This year, thanks to the partnership with Coors Light, the NSLC is able to offer free transit rides for four days in December, an additional two days compared to last year.

This initiative is in support of Coors Light and the NSLC’s shared commitment of encouraging Nova Scotians to not drive impaired and to make responsible choices.
