Akoma Holdings is a non-profit committed to creating economic and social opportunities for the African Nova Scotian community. Funds raised for Akoma Holdings will support the ‘Grow Together’ program that focuses on creating opportunities for community members of all ages to come together and learn how to grow and harvest their own food.
The Halifax Refugee Clinic Association is a non-profit organization that provides legal representation to those claiming refugee status in Nova Scotia. Funds raised for the association will support a program that provides care packages, meals and other essentials to clients experiencing food insecurity.
