Hosting a patio games night with friends is a great way to enjoy the nice weather and celebrate the end of the week. And it doesn’t have to take a lot of work. In fact, the more relaxed, the better. Simply set out some ready-made snacks (like chips or popcorn), mix up some summer cocktails and let the games begin.
What to play? Reacquaint yourself with these classic games – or play them for the first time. They are super fun and perfect for a casual group get-together.
1. Jenga
A game of Jenga isn’t just for rainy days at the cottage. It’s also a fun way to spend a Friday evening with friends. If you have a bigger crowd, consider getting a few games going at once. It’s hands-on fun that will have players on the edge of their seats as the tower teeters on the edge of collapse!
2. Cranium
Another hands-on favourite, Cranium is one of the best mind, and body, bending games out there, not to mention one of the most fun to play with a group. The challenges range from spelling and guessing to acting and humming, the latter two of which are especially entertaining and always end in laughter.
3. Trivia
Break out a trivia game (Trivial Pursuit is, of course, a classic) or create your very own trivia game based on your friends’ interests. For example, you could make a locally themed trivia game that tests your knowledge of Nova Scotia.
